ABOUT
Mindful Design Hawaʻi
My Philosophy
Your home is more than a collection of rooms—it’s a reflection of what matters most to you. I believe the design process should be collaborative and thoughtful, helping uncover where you feel stuck and what you truly need from your space. From there, we shape a home that functions well, feels personal, and becomes your sanctuary.
5 Things to Know About Me
My roots shaped my perspective.
Growing up as a first-generation American, I often found myself navigating between two cultures. Decorating my childhood bedroom became my creative outlet and a bridge between those worlds. It’s where I first learned that design can bring calm and clarity.
Hawaiʻi is home.
Oʻahu has been home for nearly two decades, and today I live on the Windward side with my husband, our young son, and our pup. Life here is layered and lively, shaping how I think about home—as a place that supports daily life, not one designed for perfection.
I blend creativity with structure.
Teaching yoga gave me a sensitivity to energy, flow, and how spaces make us feel. My years in commercial property management grounded me in structure and logistics. Together, those experiences shape a mindful yet practical approach to design.
How I think about design.
Good design isn’t about perfection—it’s about alignment. That means working with what’s meaningful, introducing only what’s needed, and creating spaces that support the way you want to live. I prioritize sourcing from local Hawaiʻi artisans whenever possible, incorporating pieces that feel connected to place and story.
My own home tells a story.
It’s filled with collected art from my travels, woven rugs, heirlooms, kids’ toys, and a coffee cup that’s rarely warm. It’s imperfect but intentional—and that’s the kind of feeling I love helping others create.
Let’s Create Something Meaningful
If your home feels unfinished or out of sync with how you live, I’d be honored to help you bring it back into alignment.
“Good design isn’t about perfection — it’s about alignment.”
